I'm in a magazine!

ok well at least my thumb is...lol Anyways I was contacted last year by an editor form interweave press to do a tutorial on making a rosette necklace they wanted something trendy so I went for tangerine ombre necklace, I went about writing my article and taking pictures..sent it in along with all the paperwork..holy cow theres a lot of paperwork involved with making a magazine and getting permission for things!
And much to my surprise last week they told me
I'd made the cover and were mailing me a check for my article.

I finally feel like my teeny homemade shop is making some waves and I'm excited for where it can go.
you can buy the magazine online here or in stores at local craft stores barnes and noble

initial necklace's

This is one of my favorite shops on etsy merriweathercouncil- read her shop profile on why she named it what she did, It's pretty cute.

I've been debating for months what color to buy my sisters for mothers day, you get to choose your  embroidered letter, upper or lower case, color scheme and it comes in a perty little package.

I just love etsy yay for one of a kind, what color is your favorite?
I want to know which one to get my sisters!

Soda Shop

This new spring collection was inspired by this picture and my pinterest board.

I really wanted to use soda straws somehow In my fascinators, and I thought it would be perfect if it felt like a soda shop so the new line has 7 flavors
raspberry sorbet
lime ricky
lemonade
orange cream
root beer float
cream soda
cherry cola
And my necklace is called rainbow sherbet and can be made in girls and womens sizes..has more of a spring pastel feel than my usual color palette.
I also have loved feather pads for a while and knew I wanted to use them not just alone but as part of the fascinator. My first time trying crinoline and I'm hooked. I hope it brings back nostalgia.
I used to work at a dairy farm in utah called country boy dairy, and this reminds me of long summer nights serving ice cream to the town. I hope you enjoy. Thanks to liz from lizzyannephotography for my product photos.
